This Saturday, November 15, 2025, the Christian Life Community in Côte d’Ivoire (CVX-CI) held its annual hike, in keeping with a now well-established tradition. This activity is part of the concrete implementation of the apostolic frontier dedicated to integral ecology.
The day began with a time of prayer in the very first chapel built by the missionaries of the host village, M’Brou. After this moment of reflection, the participants set off on a 10-km ecological walk, experienced in a spirit of fraternity, contemplation, and gratitude for creation.
One of the highlights was the tree-planting ceremony on the 1-hectare plot acquired by CVX-CI in the village. This symbolic and committed gesture expresses the community’s desire to leave a positive, lasting, and visible impact in line with its ecological commitment.
During the Mass that followed, CVX-CI offered in-kind and financial donations to the rural parish as a sign of solidarity and support for its pastoral activities.
The day concluded with a fraternal agape meal, during which members shared the food they had brought. Everything took place in an atmosphere of joy, simplicity, and fellowship, marking the end of a day rich in meaning, action, and communion with nature.
Peace and Joy!
