The Family Clock Programme in CLC Slovakia in cooperation with CLC Poland

3 Mar, 2025 | Europe, Family

We partnered with the Polish Family Clock team Justyna and Marcin Telicki and Maria Komasova during the weekend of 24-26 January 2025 so that our ExCo team Daniela Daubnerova and Katarina Rakova and our Slovak CLC 8 couples (married, engaged and before engagement) could experience the Ignatian Family Clock programme led by our Polish leaders. Our vision was to experience and absorb this methodology in order to serve families in Slovakia.

And what a gift we have found in the Family Clock and our Polish guides!

We have experienced joy and transformation in couples.

We have seen the belonging of spouses to each other and together to God who unites and guides them through the discernment. Discovering beauty even in darker moments. The dynamism of the spiritual exercises leads couples through falling in love, getting to know who is behind the face I am in love with, giving and receiving gifts of love and  following the path of finding God in crisis.

It reflects the most important family project and its resurrection!

Families, as a gift of spouses to each other, are also a gift to the outside world. It’s a gift given by God and given back to God through the fruits of relationships.

The Family Clock programme is balanced and covers the most important phases of family life. It is a beginning of the healing process, finding a way to improve communication, to name and leave the bad patterns of our behaviour. The wisdom of failure and forgiveness, first to ourselves and then to each other, is the basis for restoring and building a relationship. We have to keep nourishing the common home in our daily lives.

We are very grateful for the whole preparation and professional guidance of our CLC friends from Poland, who shared not only the methodology of the programme, but also the personal life of their marriage relationship in humility, truth and love. It was a pleasure to get to know each other better and to develop our friendship.
