Temporary and Permanent Commitments in CLC in Nicaragua

24 Jul, 2025 | Latin America, Worldwide CLC

On Sunday July 20, 2025, CLC Nicaragua held a retreat to finalize the discernment process for the first time or renewal of commitments both temporary and permanent.

Our community is composed of 23 members, distributed in two communities, one with 11 members and the other with 12 members. Both communities lived during the months of May, June and July the process of discernment to make or renew commitments, concluding this with the retreat to make them in the mass of St. Ignatius to be held on July 26, 2025.

The retreat was from 8 am to 3 pm, taught by Patricia Suarez CLC founding member, with extensive knowledge on the subject. During the retreat, there were 3 meditations, the first was to collect the history lived as a blessing, for this we relied on the notes and what we lived in each meeting on the vocational, community, apostolic and spiritual dimensions. In the second meditation we had to confirm the call in freedom, for this we had to find the obstacles that prevented the realization of my commitment. In the third and last meditation we tried to make the total offer of yes, with this we made a writing where we offered to God what we wanted.

We received the Eucharist at 11 am inside the place of the retreat and ended the day with the reading of the offering to God.
