The XVII World CLC Assembly was opened with the welcome message of the President of the World CLC Mauricio Lopez, followed by the reading of the messages of the Pope and the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. The three presidents of Arupa then welcome the delegates who present their flags followed by the address of Mauricio Lopez to the community and the Opening Mass which was presided by Fr. Alejandro Tilve, sj (Provincial of the Province of Argentino-Uruguay)
