The National Assembly of the Christian Life Community (CLC-VE) was held from 29 September to 2 October 2024 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, with the participation of 45 members from different regions of the country, including young people from the Huellas Youth Movement. The main objective of this meeting was the revitalisation and reorganisation of the community, as well as the election of a new National Apostolic Team. During the assembly, the importance of reconnecting and reconciling in the spirit of the Lord Jesus was emphasised, celebrating more than 40 years of history in Venezuela and reaffirming the commitment to the general principles of CLC.
The fruits of the assembly included the implementation of the DEAE (Discernment, Sending, Accompaniment and Evaluation) methodology, which guided the process of reflection and community action. This approach allowed participants to discern the signs of the times in Venezuela and to define concrete actions to respond to current social and spiritual needs. Apostolates such as the pastoral Spiritual Exercises and spaces for intergenerational dialogue were promoted, which strengthened the sense of community and commitment to a more just and supportive future. These initiatives not only seek to address immediate needs, but also to build a path towards a more active CLC committed to its apostolic mission.
Another fruit is the total renewal of the EAN representing CLC-VE for the next 3 years, where the motto underpinning the mission to be lived is To make all things new. The sisters elected by the assembly were: Jeanette Rincón (National Coordinator), Sissi MartÃnez (Formation and Spirituality Coordinator), Jessica Cepeda (Administration Coordinator) and Alis Carrasquero (Communication Coordinator). This event opens new opportunities for the growth and development of CLC-VE.
